Choosing your Sahara experience
Morocco has three main desert destinations. Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes offer the classic image of the Sahara, with high orange dunes close to the road. Zagora, at the end of the Draa Valley, is the closest desert to Marrakech, with smaller dunes. Erg Chegaga, reached by 4×4 from M’Hamid, is the most remote and the quietest.
