Merzouga Sahara Desert Stargazing Experience
Overview
With almost no light pollution and dry air, the dunes of Erg Chebbi are an excellent place to observe the night sky. On moonless nights, the Milky Way stretches clearly across the sky, and thousands of stars become visible to the naked eye.
This evening experience takes you away from the camp lights to a quiet dune, where a guide points out constellations and planets. Some camps can provide a telescope; we confirm availability with you. The best conditions are around the new moon and on clear winter nights.
