Overview
Chefchaouen is only about two hours from Tangier, which makes it a perfect short trip. On the way you stop in Tetouan, whose white-walled medina is listed by UNESCO and shows strong Andalusian influences. In the afternoon you settle into Chefchaouen and wander its blue alleys, small squares and craft shops.
After a night in a guesthouse, you have the morning for the Ras el-Ma spring and the walk to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint before returning to Tangier. It is an easy trip, well suited to families, student groups and travellers arriving by ferry from Spain.

Day 1
Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
Pick-up in Tangier or at the port. Stop in Tetouan for a walk in the medina, then continue to Chefchaouen. Afternoon exploring the blue streets and sunset at the Spanish Mosque.

Chefchaouen – Tangier
Morning in the medina and at Ras el-Ma, then return to Tangier in the afternoon.
