4 Days Errachidia to Fes via the Sahara
Errachidia → Merzouga (2 nights) → Erfoud → Ziz Gorges → Midelt → Azrou → Ifrane → Fes
Overview
This tour takes the slow road from the Sahara to Fes. You spend your first two nights near Erg Chebbi, with a full day for Khamlia’s Gnawa musicians, Rissani’s market and the dunes themselves. Optional 4×4 excursions, quad biking or sandboarding can be added.
Instead of driving straight to Fes, you break the journey in Midelt, at the foot of the Jebel Ayachi, after a stop at the Erfoud fossil workshops and the Ziz Gorges. The last day crosses the Middle Atlas via the cedar forest near Azrou, home to Barbary macaques, and Ifrane before arriving in Fes. Short driving days and comfortable accommodation make it ideal for families and premium travellers.
