Overview
This three-day loop combines two of southern Morocco’s most impressive landscapes within easy reach of Errachidia. You first head west through the oasis villages of Goulmima and Tinejdad, with their fortified ksour, to the Todra Gorge, where limestone walls rise on both sides of a narrow canyon.
After a night near the gorge, you drive across the plateau via Erfoud to Merzouga for a camel ride and a night in the dunes, then return to Errachidia along the Ziz Valley. Driving days are short and the pace is gentle, which makes this loop a good fit for families.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1
Errachidia – Goulmima – Tinejdad – Todra Gorge
Drive west through the oasis villages to Tinghir and walk in the Todra Gorge. Night near the gorge.

Day 2
Todra – Erfoud – Merzouga desert camp
Cross the plateau to Erfoud and Rissani, then ride camels into the dunes for sunset and a night at camp.

Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Errachidia
Sunrise in the dunes, breakfast and return to Errachidia via the Ziz Valley.
